Prague's Residential Streets

Prague Czech Republic travel wanderlust

What I really love about travelling, is always to see where the real people live. If I'm lucky I get to live with them which I had a couple of times. But this time, we didn't know anyone in Prague so I decided just to wander off into the residential streets.

Its always quieter, lovelier and somehow more romantic stroll down the streets. Except of course, the occasional weird stares from the residence haha.

No tourist, no vendors trying to sell you stuff, no fancy Prague souvenirs. Just overgrown garden bushes, nice stone roads, street lamps with an empty bench for you to sit and soak in the tranquility.

St Vitus

The entrance to St Vitus. Rather harsh setting.

The grand interiors of St Vitus

The front doors

The back of the church, also possibly more famous image of it.

My perspective looking up.

On top of the hills

I can't remember exactly which day of our trip in Prague was this but I still drool everytime I see these pictures of food from Prague. This was actually after our walk in St Vitus

Just a random cafe but really yummy food.

Potato dumpling with pork slices and egg. So good and extremely filling

Raphi had beef i think, with potato dumplings as well and cabbage
Super good, we were both very satisfied

Earlier on, we were on top of the hill of Prague's Saint Vitus Church. There was an expansive garden just on the edge of the church. Extremely quiet and beautiful, not to mention a gorgeous view of the city.

One of the soldiers who stand guard at the entrance and exits of the church.

The Astronomiclal Clock

The old town square in the evening is quite a beautiful place to be in. You can see the view point tower and some other fantastic architecture. Apart from that, most people go there to see the Astronomical Clock.

Its quite a piece of work, considering the time it was built. These artist are also futurist to be able to create works of art that till now still look aesthetically pleasing to the eye.

The actual clockwork itself is quite amusing to see the little figurines move. Its something you gotta be here in person to see.
