Rasping Raspberries!!

During my trip down to london, my friend Diana was gracious enough to offer me a place to stay over the week. That weekend i followed her family to Garsons farm near London ( details below)

Did i have a awesome time that i forgot to take pictures!! haha i was a raspberry monster...to be honest i ate so many blackberries and raspberries till it made me alittle sick hoho!!

I love how fat and juicy these raspberries were...super sweet as well!!! how come we cant have them like that in asia? and btw INCREDIBLY cheap.

The assorted jams, confitures, fudge, candies, bon bons, flavored oils and fresh fruit and vegetables are so tempting!!! I wanna buy back the whole shop but its so impossible. :(

Anyway to get to Garsons Farm from london:
Go to the ticketing booth or ticket machine and book a ticket to train station: Esher station.

Dependable on when you book and whatever combination you book your price differs but it should not cos you more then 10 pounds (i think) For mine, it was free because they had a discount/promotion for 3rd person going!! yay!

When you reach Esher you can go to the taxi stand and wait for a cab to bring you there. Or you could walk...its quite a distance (40mins walk) but you'll walk pass this amazing field that looks like tumblr images and also a small little town center :)

What to do there:

What else do you do in a farm?? Just grab whateva you wish you bring home to cook and pay accordingly...its a big farm but we were aiming for 3 things: Blackberries, strawberries and raspberries!!

Its amazingly cheap that raspberries and blackberries cost $5pounds per KG!! and strawberries are 3pound/kg...gosh i miss the place.

alternatively if you like your vegetables n fruits pre plucked there is a super market stock full of great plump fresh veg!! among others u have the sweet delectables!!

There is a small cafe but awfully expensive there!! and a shop that sells everything country inspired and things to do with craft, baking and gardening!! a domestic wife's heaven!!

This is a great for a 1 day trip especiall with kids (or if you are a kid at heart like me!!)

"Home" sung by local artist

This is home truly, where i know i must be
where my dreams wait for me
where the river always flows
This is home surely as my senses tell me
this is where i won't be alone
For this is where i know its home!

happy valentine's day.

I hope everyone reading my blog had a good valentine's day. Valentine's day isn't just for couples nor is it meant to only fall on the 14 of February. As someone would put it, everyday can be valentine's day if you want it.

It doesn't have to be extravagant gifts it can be you, flower, kiss. Oh maybe a bottle of pink Dolphin would be perfect. :P

Such Great Heights.

Marina Bay Sands Hotel.

When you are in Singapore, make sure it is your goal to swim on top of this awesomeness of a structure. I mean i'm a Singaporean...and im like "bleahh its another tall tall building" but last week i got a chance to go up to MBS and SWIM IN THE INFINITY POOL...

boy, did tat change my mind.

The night view was amazing...i really could just sit and look at the view for hours... only thing was that it was really windy that day and i was freezing my ass off.

To swim in the MBS you need to be a hotel guest and so happens my friend had a room there so we got a chance to swim there!!

Alternatively, if you can't afford a room at the MBS, you still can view the amazing view by paying $20 to go up to the open deck. You may not swim nor enter the infinity pool :(

WHAT A VIEW!!

Ran Tee Bay

After an exhausting walk up the top of Phi Phi Island, my bf said he was surprised that i wanted to venture down a unpaved path after seeing this sign:

I honestly must have been alittle insane cos we walked down basically...almost vertical slopes and these are the few pic we manage to snap on our way down to Ran Tee Bay

There you go, Ran Tee Bay!!!

Its basically one of the many beaches that Phi Phi has surrounding the island. This beach is alot quieter then the others as its quite inaccessible. The only way is to climb a mosquito ridden gignormous hill or take a taxi boat which would cost you 150 each ride/pp.

Nevertheless it was a nice place to visit..it had afew deck chairs a big swing and a nice bar/cafe.. there is a resort house located here but nothing of the fancy sort. You cant swim here due to the corals that are very near the shore but you'll see an amazing clear and empty ocean.

Great for just chilling and reading a book or sunbathing :))

We took a taxi boat back and stop by long beach which was very beautiful but more crowded than Ran Tee... its plus points here is the amazing sunset plus also more classier hotels. You could take a taxi boat (150/pp again) or walk to Phi Phi town from Long beach
